We (an odd pairing of psychologists and mathematicians) dreamed up this app to learn about the human sequential decision-maker (Seqer). Its premise is that if we want to understand how people make decisions, we should challenge them in assorted ways.

Help us in this scientific endeavor by downloading Seqer. We first ask you to tell us a bit about who you are (all anonymously!) and go through a tutorial, which will help us validate our study. This should take about 20 minutes. Then, you play a series of games. Games are rarely the same, and each game gets progressively harder. Test out your ability to make decisions.

Seqer was updated in preparation of a NU/UIC reliability study. The tutorial is more informative. Handedness was added to demography. Participants can enter study info at login and have access to a "minimap" to help tracking transitions between images. For the reliability study, games are restricted; the random number generator is restricted; level 1 is repeated 8 times over 2 sessions; and there is a 1-week block period between sessions.
