StopKorona! is a mobile app intended to stop spreading the Corona virus and protect users by detection of distance between mobile devices/applications of other persons, by using Bluetooth technology. The underlying aim of the app is to provide fast response to healthcare authorities about other persons that have been in close contact with the infected person in the past 14 days.
The app uses Bluetooth to communicate with other app users and exchanges encrypted, anonymized data about the distance of all nearby devices, at a distance relevant to spreading of the infection, for a limited period of time within the past 14 days.
If an app user gets infected with the virus, the Ministry of Health will request the app user to share with the Ministry the list of his/her app data, whereby competent authorities will detect telephone numbers and will inform the persons that they have been in close proximity with a person who is a COVID-19 carrier, while fully protecting the privacy thereof.
Users have full control over their privacy. The only data related to the user is mobile telephone number. It is stored on a safe server managed by the Ministry of Health, and will be used upon user’s consent, only in case user is infected by virus.

All users of the application make a personal contribution to the collective fight against this common health hazard. The more users of the application - the better and faster results in the fight against the virus.
