A lightweight and beautiful app for playing chess.

Chess is a an ancient game invented by indians. Its a two-player strategy board game played on a checkboard. The checkboard consists of 64 squares arranged in an 8x8 square grid. The game is very popular, and played by millions of people worldwide.

The game is played with two players. Each player gets 16 pieces at the beginning. The pieces are: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops and eight pawns.

Piece movements:
* The king moves one square in any direction
* A rook can move any number of squares horizontally or vertically. But can not leap over pieces.
* A bishop can move any number of squares diagonally, but cannot leap over other pieces.
* A knight moves like (a) two moves horizontally or vertically, then again (b) one move from the last square to next square horizontally or vertically
* A pawn can move forward to the unoccupied square immediately.

You can either play with AI/Computer or play with a friend within the device.
