Rebirth brings an amazing, dystopian narrative to learning about oceanic climate change. Players see through the eyes of someone living in 2161, a time where most of the earth is a wasteland, and see how their actions now affect people in the future. (The player = you) The main plot line is that your friend, who wanted to become an Olympic hover boarder, falls off her board while trying to teach you hover boarding tricks. You are devastated by this because the fall kills any chance of her being able to reach her dreams. The evening after she is sent to the hospital, you are waiting for further results on how she is doing. A man dressed in a black suit with a green phoenix badge knocks at your door. You open the door, and he asks you if you could go back and change the future, would you. You answer yes, and you are teleported back in time where you have to solve puzzle mini games to save your future. There are 3 educational mini games the user plays through. Mini Game 1 teaches the user how to recycle with a game where they have to sort through litter on the beach. Mini Game 2 teaches the player how certain sunscreen products affect coral with a game where they play as a piece of coral that is trying to collect good sunscreens while avoiding the bad ones. Mini Game 3 teaches the user about bad fishing practices. In Mini Game 3, the user has to pair up different diagrams of fishing practices by matching the squares. At the end of each mini game, the user sees a newspaper from the future that shows them how what they do today affects how people live in the future.
