Diamond Chess lets users play chess or watch games on ICC, Internet Chess Club, or FICS, Free Internet Chess Server. The Diamond interface supports viewing multiple games and allows Stockfish engine analysis while examining or observing. There is a convenient seek a game view on the Options menu to find games. Also as a member on both servers the user can chat in channels; politics is most active and there are some others as well. This gives users who who both want to chat and play with chess players a way to do that.

Users can connect as a guest or a member to either server. There are a variety of settings and pieces and boards can be customized and Diamond has timestamp and timeseal to compensate for lag. We also support most all server variants including Crazyhouse Chess.

Games are logged to a log file in PGN format and there is an option on the board to open the log file to upload games to an examine board or export out the file as a mail attachment.
